South Charlotte Area

South Charlotte is a popular area South of Center City Charlotte, North of Union County, East of Highway 77, and West of Independence Blvd. (Highway 74).  The South Charlotte area is characterized by both turn-of-the-century historic estates closer to Center City, and newer, grand subdivisions pushing southward as developers responded to the amazing growth and demand in South Charlotte suburbs from the 1970’s to present day.
